We are so EXCITED!!

We want to welcome you to the exciting world of Ridgeway Portrait Design. From here we will talk about all things SENIOR! Clothing tips, what works in senior photography; what doesn't. We'll show you more images than we can show on the actual website and bring you stories about seniors from your school and others.

John Ridgeway will be your photographer and we can ABSOLUTELY guarantee that you will love your photos. John knows 'how' to make YOU look good. He won't try to make you look like someone else (unless you want him to - & we'll talk).

We can't wait to meet you!! You only get senior portraits once in your life. Don't trust these important photos to someone who is not a professional. Trust the portrait studio that will give you the whole package - Fun! The best photos of you! More options than you can imagine, a staff that will walk you through everything; you won't have to think about it, just enjoy the experience.

SpokesModel Kelsey Beimfohr

We are totally, excited to be introducing our SpokesModels for Ridgeway Portrait Design’s 2013 Senior year. This year we decided to do something a little different and brought in professional make-up artist, D’Shannon Llewellyn, and hair stylist, Marla Lebish, to give our models a true modeling experience. Our models will be coming in the summer for their actual senior portrait session, but we wanted to share some of the Fashion Bash images.

So, with that, let’s meet Kelsey Beimfohr, our first featured spokesmodel. Kelsey is from Edwardsville High School and tells us that she is outgoing, fun and caring. I love Kelsey! First, she drag races! How cool is that? I’ve always wanted to race cars and to meet a girl that goes for it… just rocks in my book.

In talking with her about some of her favorite classes, teachers and such, she mentioned that her favorite teacher is Mrs. Hatton. She is so laid back and not strict. Kelsey’s favorite class is Medical Occupations 2. She has an internship throught the class at Alton Memorial hospital and is learning things to help her in her future profession of being a neonatal nurse or an Anestesiologist.

Besides drag racing, Kelsey loves field hockey and spending time with her friends and family. She loves shopping at the Buckle and Forever 21 while eating her favorite desserts of hot apple pie and vanilla ice cream or eating chewy sprees and fruit tea to wash it down. Hint:  want to get on her good side, bring her some of that.

Going to Greece is where Kelsey wants to go on her dream vacation and one last tidbit is that Kelsey’s favorite animal is a monkey and that’s because they are so adorable and crazy, like herself.

Kelsey’s job as a Ridgeway SpokesModel is to tell you about her experience at Ridgeway Portrait Design. You have many choices for your senior portrait experience and you want to make sure that you pick the right studio for you. Asking your friends or someone you know is one way of doing your homework so asking one of our SpokesModels will give you the information you are looking for AND she can give you a card the lets you get 16 FREE wallets from your senior session.

Don’t know Kelsey? That’s okay; she’ll help you anyway or you can ask one of our other spokesmodels. Just click here and see all of our spokesmodels. You are always welcome to schedule a tour of the studio and get first hand knowledge of all of the cool sets (indoor and outdoor) and options that you have for your senior picture experience.

What are some of the things that are important to you in being photographed? We are always learning and you telling us what is important to you makes us better at what we do.

Thanks and talk to you in a couple of days!

Where did summer go?

I know it sounds so cliche, but really, where did it go? I guess because we were booked solid and I didn’t get to really be out and about, it flew by. I’ve been with some incredible and helping them choose what images they are going to use in their homes and what to give as gifts.
The one thing that I heard was that people had no idea about our backlot, which is somewhat of a studio park. Below I’m sharing a few images that were done outside at the Ridgeway studio. It’s been 10 years in the making and always a work in progress. We have built mini sets throughout the whole back lot area. Some examples; a beach with real sand, a rusted and old truck outside the old gas station, Grandma’s porch that gives you the feel of going back in time. This set is loaded with portrait possibilities, not to mention the relaxing hammock that you can lay back in and just let the world stand by. These are just of few of the incredible sets we have so that it looks like you went out on location, but in fact, you get all the amenities and comforts of a great studio. Who wants to change in the back of a car or van and when the weather isn’t cooperating, hot or cold, we can run back into the building to warm up or cool down.
The school year is in full swing and now comes the dreaded details and looking for that college that is going to give that advanced graduation that you are looking for…college hunting. Here is some information that you might find helpful http://moneywatch.bnet.com/spending/…g=content;col1 Feel free to pass it on to friends; I thought it was great information. Wish I had it when I was looking many years ago.
I hope you have a wonderful week. Take care until next time.
