Where did summer go?

I know it sounds so cliche, but really, where did it go? I guess because we were booked solid and I didn’t get to really be out and about, it flew by. I’ve been with some incredible and helping them choose what images they are going to use in their homes and what to give as gifts.

The one thing that I heard was that people had no idea about our backlot, which is somewhat of a studio park. Below I’m sharing a few images that were done outside at the Ridgeway studio. It’s been 10 years in the making and always a work in progress. We have built mini sets throughout the whole back lot area. Some examples; a beach with real sand, a rusted and old truck outside the old gas station, Grandma’s porch that gives you the feel of going back in time. This set is loaded with portrait possibilities, not to mention the relaxing hammock that you can lay back in and just let the world stand by. These are just of few of the incredible sets we have so that it looks like you went out on location, but in fact, you get all the amenities and comforts of a great studio. Who wants to change in the back of a car or van and when the weather isn’t cooperating, hot or cold, we can run back into the building to warm up or cool down.

The school year is in full swing and now comes the dreaded details and looking for that college that is going to give that advanced graduation that you are looking for…college hunting. Back To School Senior Special

School has started or is going to start for most within the week; can you believe it? Ridgeway Portrait Design has been busy, busy, busy with senior photography since June with no sign of letting up. Every year we get calls from seniors wanting to get their senior portraits scheduled when starts. And, while that is great for us, it’s not so great for getting in after school (3pm and later). There are just so many openings that we can do after school and it’s not that many.

So, in order to try to get more of you in, we have an morning appointment session special that is 50% off of any session of your choice if you are photographed 9am – 12 noon on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays. We understand that you are in school, but sometimes parents will let you go to school a couple of hours later. Some schools are more lenient about missing an hour or two and if that is the case for you, then you will save money and be able to get an appointment sooner.

So let’s Recap:

Choose which session you would like by clicking here and choosing the session that is for you.
If you are able to be photographed on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday between 9am & 12 noon you will receive a 50% rebate off the session of choice. Example: The Attitude session is $125, but $62.50 (1/2 of $125) will be rebated back to you when you place your order. So, you already have $62.50 towards your portraits.

Outdoor at Ridgeway Portrait Design

The Dock

I think that we take for granted that many people don’t really know everything Ridgeway Portrait Design in Maryville, IL. Outdoor photographs are important to most seniors and the last few weeks have proven that. No matter how hot it has been, seniors that John has been photographing brave the heat and go outside to our backlot to be photographed.

We are asked all of the time if John will go on location to do senior portraits, but that’s because most don’t know about Ridgeway’s incredible outdoor park right outside the back door. For the next little while we will be talking about all of the incredible things about the studio and it’s services that you may not know about.

Today’s post will be showing different images that were done at Ridgeway’s studio backlot area. Because of the incredible size of the studio and land around it, we have strived to make the photographic experience at Ridgeway one that is convenient and easy and FUN! No changing outside in a van or traveling to the location taking up precious time for more outfits or more poses.
